Rapid Enterprise Development (RED)

EPL is a founding member and director of Rapid Enterprise Development (RED) - a new organisation set up to assist disabled people and those that support them explore self employment and small business opportunities. RED Initiatives Community Interest Company (CIC).  The RED CIC team members comprise of a number of value based organisations and individuals who believe that the world of enterprise should be made accessible to everybody. 

RED features two key products:

RED workshops
Facilitated by motivated trade and sector specific experts, the RED workshop involves a number of 'modules' covering:

Market Assessment
Marketing
Finance: Making it all stack up
Operations
Action Planning

These fully accessible workshops are delivered around specific ‘enterprise tables’, and use a range of interactive sessions and role play to shape the individual enterprise propositions. They have been designed specifically to support the development of enterprise ideas being pursued by people with learning disabilities and their support workers.

The RED Workshops are under-pinned by www.redcic.com, a ‘shared open resource’ website where disabled people, colleges, training providers, charities and other organisations can not only find out about the world of enterprise and self employment, but join a vibrant community involved in designing and using a range of enterprise resources.
